Big Fish

Dear Hangries,

We're excited to share a new adventure, some OSR to 5e conversion guidance, and some fun videos reviewing ttrpg resources. Let's go:

Firstly, we're thrilled to announce the release of a new, Pay-What-You-Want adventure: "What Is Under Monger Lake?"

Capital City (Capitalicus? Capitatious? CCC?) has been experiencing some strange goings-on and the PCs must figure $#!% out! The adventure will take place in a boggy forest overrun with giant insects, involves misguided students and a profiteering manipulator, and might even take place inside the giant fish lurking in the murky lake.

I had a blast making this adventure, and hope you all enjoy wandering in the Monger Forest, meeting the rebellious nature lovers, the manipulative tea seller, and the fishy Mongers... deep in the belly of the... [SPOILERS REDACTED]. The narrative is complex (allowing for completion along any one of three unique paths, or maybe even a mix of all three) and the art was fun to create. Who doesn't like drawing hex maps, underground cave systems, and fish organs? Seriously, this adventure is stuffed to the gills with fish guts. Ew.

This adventure was designed with KNAVE in mind. KNAVE (as you may know) is a terrific OSR-like system from Ben Milton (Questing Beast on Youtube). If you are a fan of Knave or other OSR systems, this adventure should be ready for you. If you prefer 5e, here's a simple monster conversion method:

Hope you find the adventure fun! Let me know what you think.

Lastly, below are some videos covering some adventures that are out there that you may want to pick up, as well as a bit of an overview of some OSR options that may expand your style of play. Whether you're looking for new ideas, strategies, or simply want to enjoy the vicarious thrill of people talking about dice, these videos are a must-watch.
